About the role

Tomlinson is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Events and Merchandise Coordinator to join our team. Working in the marketing department, the successful candidate will play a critical role in planning and organizing Tomlinson’s growing portfolio of annual employee, community, and customer events. The individual will also expand our merchandise efforts through the Red Army Store. As our events calendar focuses mainly on fall/spring/summer, in the slower season this role will support other marketing tasks.

This is an on-site role at 100 Citigate Drive

RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute internal, client-facing, and community events (10 to 500+ attendees)

  • Monitor and report on individual and annual event budgets

  • Manage event volunteer coordination before and during events

  • Develop and implement tailored communication strategies for each event

  • Collect and analyze feedback through post-event surveys and attendance data

  • Maintain and improve internal documentation and best practices for event processes

Merchandise Strategy & Management

  • Oversee product selection, vendor sourcing, and merchandising for the Red Army Store

  • Design and manage seasonal employee cheer gifts and other branded giveaways

  • Develop online store content: product pages, promotional features, and digital storefront updates

  • Plan and coordinate seasonal promotions (e.g., Black Friday, Boxing Day)

  • Track inventory and generate regular sales performance reports with insights and suggestions

  • Collaborate with the creative team on merchandise artwork and print materials

Cross-Departmental Support & Marketing Integration

  • Coordinate and report on marketing campaigns that include merchandise or event elements

  • Support internal division requests for events and other marketing tasks

  • Help diversify Tomlinson’s marketing channels through merchandise initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in events coordination and/or merchandising
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Proficient in Microsoft 360 (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with online storefronts and inventory tracking systems an asset
  • Availability for evening/weekend event support is required
