We are currently recruiting for the following role in our Toronto office:

AI & Azure Solutions Specialist The Role We are seeking a hands-on, technically adept AI & Azure Solutions Specialist to join our growing technology team in Toronto. This role is ideal for someone passionate about applying modern AI tools and Azure cloud services to real business problems, particularly around document analysis, search, and intelligent automation in the legal domain.

The successful candidate will work closely with a project manager, BAs, QA, and .NET developers, while owning the AI and Azure aspects of projects. Over time, this role is expected to evolve into a leadership position focused on guiding an AI-focused development group.

Essential Functions

  • Integrate Azure OpenAI capabilities into .NET-based applications and internal platforms
  • Deploy and configure open-source containerized tools like OpenWebUI, HuggingFace, and OLlama.
  • Write and refine prompts for LLMs to optimize performance on legal and document-centric tasks.
  • Work with Microsoft 365 data (Word, Outlook, Teams) for RAG, summarization, and document automation workflows.
  • Evaluate and integrate 3rd-party AI tools and components with attention to privacy, performance, and fit.
  • Manage Azure cloud resources including Functions, Logic Apps, Key Vault, and define role-based access.
  • Support internal teams in identifying opportunities for automation, search, and knowledge management using AI.
  • Document architecture, solutions, and usage guidance clearly for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Bring a self-driven, problem-solving mindset, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including AI and core platform services.
  • Strong programming experience preferably in Microsoft tools and API integrations.
  • Practical knowledge of LLMs and how to design and optimize effective prompts
  • Experience with AI toolchains like OpenAI, OpenWebUI, OLlama, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, etc.
  • Solid understanding of Azure OpenAI, REST APIs, and the AI landscape
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, especially in working with documents, mail, and chat data.
  • Familiarity with tools like Power Automate, Pinecone, DataBricks, Power BI, Azure Data Lake/Synapse.
  • Microsoft Certifications in Azure or AI (e.g., AI-102, AZ-305) would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
  • Exposure to CI/CD, Docker, and infrastructure automation (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform).
  • Experience working in professional services or legal environments considered an asset.
  • Comfortability in an independent work environment.
  • Advanced communication skills with ability to clearly explain complex topics.
