Ses tâches principales incluent l’enquête et l’évaluation de questions relatives aux enfants ayant besoin de protection; la prestation de services de soutien aux clients; la prestation de services aux enfants pris en charge ; la responsabilité de la documentation en conformité avec les lois afférentes et les procédures de l’organisme; les services d’approche dans la collectivité et les activités de prévention ainsi que d’autres tâches assignées par le gestionnaire de service. Ceci est un poste syndiqué (CUPE 5319)
The Job
We are in search of a permanent Float Child Protection Worker(s) starting in the Barrie office on the French Language Services (FLS) Team. The incumbent reports to the Service Manager and will have child protection caseload responsibilities. Primary duties include: investigating and assessing matters pertaining to children in need of protection; providing support services to clients; providing services to children in care; documentation responsibilities in accordance with the legislation and agency procedures; providing community outreach and prevention activities; and other duties as assigned by the Service Manager. This is a Bargaining Unit position with CUPE local 5319.
Compétences
- Titulaire d'un baccalauréat en travail social ou en sciences humaines, en plus de plusieurs années d'expérience dans le domaine de la protection de l'enfance.
- Une connaissance profonde de la gestion de cas de protection de l'enfance et la Loi sur les services à l'enfance et à la famille.
- Aptitude démontrée à évaluer et soutenir les personnes en situation de risque.
- Excellente communication interpersonnelle, orale et écrite.
- La capacité de bien gérer son temps et de travailler sous pression
- Être titulaire d'un permis de conduire valide et l'accès à un véhicule sont nécessaires.
- Il faut obligatoirement être bilingue (français / anglais); les compétences seront testées.
Qualifications
- A BSW or MSW degree is preferred. A degree in Social Sciences from an accredited University, in combination with several years of child welfare experience will also be considered.
- A thorough knowledge of child welfare case management, and the CYFSA.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and support people in risk situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is required.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is required; proficiency will be tested.
Rémunération Le salaire, qui varie entre 69 487$ et 87 897$, selon expérience, est doté d'un ensemble d'avantages sociaux généreux, de vacances et d'allocations pour des absences autorisées.
Compensation The salary range is $69,487 to $87,897 commensurate with experience, with a generous benefits package, vacation and leave provisions.
