GSK is looking to hire a Hospital Sales Representative to join our Specialty Care Division. This role is field-based and reports directly to the Senior District Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will reside in Nova Scotia within the North/East corridor (Sydney to Truro). This role is responsible for managing a hospital-focused territory, building strong partnerships with healthcare professionals, and driving business growth in a market with evolving access dynamics.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing strategic business plans that drive customer engagement and maximize the value of GSK’s hospital respiratory portfolio. You will lead business development initiatives, foster meaningful customer relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful implementation of marketing strategies. Your ability to navigate access barriers, demonstrate business acumen, and work autonomously will be critical to success. You will collaborate closely with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), GTR colleagues, and other internal partners to support GSK’s mission to help Canadians do more, feel better, and live longer.

As a Hospital Sales Representative, you will work in a field-based capacity, traveling within your assigned geography. GSK will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans for the hospital respiratory portfolio with targeted specialists, hospitals, and allied healthcare professionals
- Designing and driving unique customer-focused initiatives to build GSK advocacy and accelerate sales growth
- Building strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders and hospital stakeholders within the assigned territory
- Partnering with GTR colleagues to develop and execute strategic programs targeting Family Medicine and General Practice physicians
- Navigating access challenges effectively and leveraging business acumen to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
- Preparing and managing territory budgets with accountability for resource allocation
- Conducting impactful daily customer calls (targeting 5-6 per day) to drive measurable contributions to market share growth
- Collaborating with MSLs, GAMA reps, and cross-functional partners to align field initiatives with brand strategies
- Executing field programs such as Lunch & Learns and scientific engagements to enhance customer value
- Ensuring all activities align with internal compliance and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of sales experience liaising with healthcare professionals
- Experience in hospital or specialty care settings, with respiratory therapeutic area experience highly desirable
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to access barriers
- Proven business acumen with a data-driven approach to identifying and capitalizing on opportunities
- Sales aptitude and drive for performance in a field-based, autonomous environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across internal teams (e.g., MSLs, GTR, GAMA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility)
- Ability to travel extensively within the territory, minimizing windshield time for efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:

Working experience in a teaching hospital environment

Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with medical, marketing, or government affairs teams

Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills

Strong working knowledge of scientific research study interpretation

Proven ability to build and maintain access to a network of physicians and healthcare stakeholders

Functional knowledge of data analysis techniques
