Location: ALS Goldspot, North Vancouver, BC

Reports to: Business Development Manager, LATAM

About The Position The Customer Success Officer drives software sales, adoption, and client success across ALS Geoanalytics’ offerings. This role will be responsible managing the sales cycle from initial lead generation to closing deals. The key focus of this position includes driving client base growth, proactive outreach, deal acceleration and client engagement using a strategic approach.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Strategize and plan marketing campaigns by assessing products’ use cases, segments, and value preposition.
  • Undertake strategic and proactive outreach to generate leads and engage prospects including cold calling, emails, online platforms, and networking.
  • Accelerate the sales pipeline by managing mid- to late-stage deal processes including scoping, contracting, and coordination.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key accounts to ensure continuity and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align software capabilities with ALS’ offerings, client needs and high-value opportunities.
  • Engage clients in a consultative manner and conduct demonstrations and presentations that align with client requirements.
  • Organize and attend conferences, company events, client visits, and meetings as required.
  • Support campaign design and contribute to CRM optimization, outreach processes, and KPI tracking.
  • Conduct opportunity scans across existing ALS client base to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Contribute feedback to ROI case studies and product sheets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to position ALS Geoanalytics offerings effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven experience in software sales, business development or account management. Experience with SaaS solutions or mining technology is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the mining or natural resources industry, providing a solid foundation to understand client needs and industry-specific challenges.
  • Strong English communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of clients.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and contribute to evolving systems and strategy design.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and sales pipeline management.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in software sales or client success roles, preferably in geoscience software or mining technology.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities
  • Be available to work outside normal business hours when required
  • Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to communicate via telephone and e-mail without assistance
  • Frequent domestic and international travel will be required (up to 40%), occasionally on short notice
