Position Summary: The Territory Manager is responsible for overseeing sales operations and driving revenue growth within a defined geographic region. This strategic role combines leadership, account management, and business development to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets. The Territory Manager will act as a key liaison between the company and its retail, contractor, and distributor partners, helping to expand market share, uphold service excellence, and execute territory-specific sales strategies in the flooring industry.
Job Description:
Territory Oversight & Strategic Sales Planning for one of the following region:
- GTA
- Eastern Ontario
Client & Partner Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of key accounts including retailers, builders, designers, and flooring dealers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients within the assigned territory, ensuring satisfaction and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Provide ongoing product knowledge, technical advice, and after-sales support to partners and customers.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Coordinate closely with the internal sales, marketing, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless customer service and product delivery.
- Offer mentorship and support to junior sales representatives or distributor teams as required.
- Actively contribute to cross-functional projects and company-wide sales initiatives.
Business Development & Revenue Generation:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the client base in the assigned region.
- Lead negotiations and close deals with professionalism and strategic insight.
- Represent the company at trade shows, regional networking events, and client site visits to strengthen brand presence and generate leads.
System Administrative & Reporting Duties:
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all client interactions, activities, and opportunities in the CRM/ERP system.
- Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and territory insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and customer service standards.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's or College’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related fields
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the flooring, construction, or building materials industry. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding regional or territory sales targets.
- Strong understanding of market development, client segmentation, and solution-based selling.
- Ability to work independently, manage a field-based schedule, and travel across assigned regions.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP/CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
