About the role

Stober Group is a privately owned and operated real estate development and property management company based in Kelowna, BC. With a legacy of building and managing high-quality residential and commercial properties throughout the Okanagan, we are committed to thoughtful development, strong community partnerships, and long-term stewardship of our portfolio.

We are currently seeking a seasoned Commercial Property Manager to lead the management of our growing portfolio of Class A office, retail, and light industrial properties in the Okanagan. This is a key leadership role within the Property Management division, offering the opportunity to work with a stable, growth-focused company deeply invested in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio & Asset Management

  • Responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of a diverse portfolio of commercial assets in Kelowna.
  • Accountable for the creation and implementation of the Annual Operating and Capital Budgets for all commercial properties.
  • Drive NOI performance through proactive expense control, lease management, and tenant retention initiatives.
  • Manage CAM recoveries, reconciliations, and ensure financial reporting accuracy.
  • Oversee life safety systems, environmental compliance, risk management, and WorkSafe requirements.
  • Consistent and regular inspection of properties to establish if repairs, upgrades or maintenance are required and issuing of work orders.
  • Assist teams with special events and tenant appreciation promotions

Tenant Relations & Lease Administration

  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with tenants, acting as the primary point of contact for lease matters, maintenance issues, and dispute resolution.
  • Responsible for collection of rent, insurance and various certificates. Lease renewals and rent escalations in collaboration with the leasing and legal teams.
  • Ensure lease compliance and timely collection of rent and other charges, insurance and certificates
  • Manage the tenant move-ins and move-outs; create and complete processes and documentation.
  • Emergency response; handle emergency situations promptly, be available for emergency calls.

Team Leadership

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to administrators and operation teams

Reporting & Strategic Input

  • Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on financial performance, occupancy, and operational matters to the Director of Property Management.
  • Contribute to portfolio strategy discussions and long-term planning.

Additional duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial property management in BC
  • Relevant post-secondary education in Real Estate, Business, Urban Land Economics, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of BC Commercial Tenancy law, commercial leasing practices, and property operations standards.
  • Proficient with property management software (e.g., MRI, Yardi or similar) and MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-value assets and maintain strong tenant relationships.
  • Excellent financial acumen, leadership capabilities, and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines, handle multiple demands and competing priorities
