Job Description
Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst CPA to join their Finance team located in their Saint John, NB Head Office.
Responsibilities
This position requires someone who is an analytical thinker, highly motivated, curious and possess excellent communication skills.
- Implement Divisional initiatives across the businesses
- Support the businesses with the development of financial analysis models to assist in decision making
- Analyze financial statements and share insights with the business to drive improvement.
- Proactive trend analysis to help management understand potential issues and recommend corrective action
- Benchmark reporting and analysis
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing a solution
- Providing support for additional finance functions such as financial analysis, corporate reporting, etc.
- Other ad-hoc requests/projects as required
- Work with business leaders to implement change
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education completion, with 3 or more years of relevant experience
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated competency in assessing, working through, and resolving issues related to project accounting and other financial ad-hoc requests
- Demonstrated commitment to your ongoing professional development
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience would be considered an asset
