Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Culinary Instructor to join our culinary arts program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary techniques and a desire to inspire and educate aspiring chefs. This role involves teaching various cooking methods, food safety practices, and menu planning while fostering a creative and engaging learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover a range of culinary skills and techniques.
- Instruct students in cooking methods, food preparation, presentation, and kitchen safety.
- Provide hands-on training in a professional kitchen setting, ensuring students gain practical experience.
- Assess student performance through evaluations, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a chef or culinary instructor with a strong portfolio of culinary skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students.
- Ability to create a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and creativity.
- Knowledge of current food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Previous teaching experience is a plus but not required.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
