The Role We are currently searching for a Supervisor, Operations reporting to the Manager, DC Operations . This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, and we are hiring for multiple positions. The availability to work all shifts in a 24/7 operation is necessary to succeed in this role.
Location Onsite at the Bolton Distribution Centre
What You'll Be Doing
- Supervise the shift activities within a busy unionized DC environment
- Training of new and existing employees and performance management
- Ensure that customer service targets and goals are successfully met
- Ensure the company’s Health and Safety, Operational and Budgetary efficiencies are met
- Exemplify the Company’s dedication to customer service
- Other responsibilities involve Inventory, Fleet and Warehouse Management, Quality Control, SOX and Audit compliance
- Other related duties as assigned
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset
Experience
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of operations experience
- Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset
- Previous experience working in a unionized environment would be a strong asset
- This role requires that you hold a valid "G" class licence
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees across all levels of the organization
- Proven leadership ability to effectively manage the team of direct reports
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with peers, leaders, internal and external customers.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- The ability to make sound decisions in a timely fashion
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Ministry of Transportation and WSIB regulations would be an asset
- Skilled in fostering teamwork and building strong partnerships with colleagues and management
