Responsibilities
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and presentation meet our standards.
- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently when necessary.
- Develop menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role or similar position within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong culinary skills with experience as a cook in various kitchen environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
- Effective supervisory skills with experience in team management and staff development.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with interviewing and onboarding new staff members is preferred.
