About the Role:
Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre (CONC) is seeking a dynamic Fundraising and Resource Development Manager to lead innovative, mission-aligned fundraising strategies that fuel housing, shelter, and community programs across Toronto. This is a high-impact role ideal for a seasoned fundraising professional who thrives on building relationships, designing successful campaigns, and cultivating funding partnerships.
Reporting to the Director of Shelters & Housing, the Fundraising and Resource Development Manager will design and implement strategies to diversify revenue, steward donors, secure grants, and engage corporate and philanthropic partners. You will help CONC grow its donor base, advance equity-informed giving, and create lasting community impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of a multi-year fundraising strategy
- Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors
- Write compelling grant proposals, stewardship reports, and donor updates
- Execute targeted campaigns including annual giving and capital initiatives
- Monitor fundraising KPIs and deliver actionable insights to the executive team
- Work closely with internal teams to align fundraising with organizational priorities
What You Bring:
- 5–7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development roles
- Demonstrated success with grants, individual giving, and donor engagement
- Strong knowledge of fundraising compliance, CRA regulations, and ethical standards
- Proficiency with donor management systems such as Canada Helps or Salesforce
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- CFRE designation or equivalent training is an asset
- Passion for housing, equity, and inclusive community development

About Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre
Founded in 1994, The Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is a multi-service organization located in Toronto’s West end providing community based programming for everyone. We welcome all, including all demographics, social classes, status, gender and gender identification, ethnic background, religion, and age. As well we provide exceptional programming for high-needs children, youth-at-risk, homeless men and women, vulnerable community members, newcomers, or anyone who might require extra support. The Centre was incorporated in 1997 as a non-profit organization, gained charitable status in 2002 and became a United Way member agency in 2001. The Centre is governed by an elected Board of Directors largely consisting of local residents who reflect the diversity of the catchment area. It works from a community-capacity building framework to actively engage community members in program development, delivery, and evaluation.
The Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is dedicated to building upon the strengths and vision of community members to improve the quality of life in the Christie Ossington community. By working in collaboration with residents, community institutions, agencies, local businesses and stakeholders, we will create a safe and healthy community.
