About the role
Tasks
- Plan the return of vehicles for inspection based on the established schedule and operational needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with operations teams regarding the current and future condition of the fleet.
- Manage and monitor the garage's daily schedule.
- Keep maintenance records up to date and generate required reports, including service calls.
- Coordinate, authorize, and follow up on repairs handled by external suppliers.
- Assess repair proposals and recommend the most cost-effective and efficient solutions.
- Respond to service calls from drivers, vehicle attendants, or clients.
- Organize and monitor on-road mechanical interventions.
- Quickly evaluate requests and find suitable solutions to various situations.
- Perform any other tasks related to mechanical operations.

Job requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role or a related field.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of systems such as AS400.
- English is rarely required for this position (about 5% of the time for communication with colleagues).
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in heavy vehicle or diesel mechanics (an asset).
