FINANCE PROJECT MANAGER (TEMPORARY CONTRACTOR – 20 HRS/WEEK, APPROX. 6-MONTH CONTRACT)
Hybrid – St. Thomas, ON Office

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Project Manager to join our team on a part-time contract basis (20 hours/week for approximately 6 months) and support our Finance function in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for a seasoned finance professional with deep expertise in accounting and controlling, who enjoys process optimization and strategic analysis. You’ll report directly to the VP, Finance, and work closely with our Finance team to assess current practices, identify gaps, and recommend improvements that align with our business goals.
What You Will Do:
- Review and assess current financial processes, controls, and reporting practices
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across Finance operations
- Partner with Finance leadership to develop and implement process enhancement plans
- Provide strategic insight on compliance, risk mitigation, and financial governance
- Support key financial planning and analysis initiatives
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
What You Will Bring:
- CPA designation is required
- 15–20 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or controlling roles
- Proven track record of leading process improvement or transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. GAAP and financial governance best practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with a collaborative approach
- Experience in project or change management within a Finance setting is an asset
