It’s important to know that

  • Crew assignments impact flight success: You play a vital role in making sure flights take off safely and on time by assigning the right crew to the right aircraft.
  • Operations move quickly: Expect a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment due to changing operations.
  • Teamwork is essential—but so is independence: You’ll split your time between solo tasks and working with a partner, typically two people per fleet.

Key duties

  • Schedule Flight Crews in compliance with company policies, Transport Canada regulations, and the ALPA (Air Line Pilots Association) collective agreements.
  • Monitor, adjust, and re-schedule Flight Crew assignments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with Flight Crew regarding scheduling activities and deviations.
  • Analyze irregular operations and make informed scheduling decisions to maintain operational performance.
  • Coordinate scheduling with other operational teams to support on-time performance.
  • Compile management information and administer the relevant collective agreements.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with conflict resolution and problem solving.
  • Solid decision-making ability in high pressure situations;
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to maintain and monitor records effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Previous airline operational experience an asset.
  • Previous Call Centre experience an asset
  • Good computer skills; knowledge of NetLine, & Communicator is an asset.
  • Must successfully complete and pass Initial Crew Scheduling Training Program.
  • Candidates must be available for shift work in a 24/7 operational environment, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest, at the time any offer of employment is made and seeking any required work permits/visas or other authorizations which may be required is the sole responsibly of the candidates applying for this position.
