- Content Strategy Expertise: 6+ years in content marketing or editorial roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position—ideally within the tech industry
- Content & Systems Scaling: Proven experience scaling content teams, workflows, and systems. Skilled in leveraging tools—including AI (e.g., Chatbots, generative content tools)—to extract internal knowledge and accelerate content creation
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to align content strategy with business goals, product positioning, and brand narrative
- Analytical Thinking: Data-driven approach to planning and performance measurement. You use insights and analytics to continuously improve and adapt content initiatives
- Storytelling: Exceptional storytelling and written communication skills across formats—blogs, web, video scripts, thought leadership, and more
- Communication: Fluent in English, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse global audiences. Comfortable working in a 100% remote, asynchronous environment
- Collaboration & Leadership: Empathetic, hands-on team leader who leads by example. Thrives in highly collaborative, feedback-rich environments
- Organizational Skills: Strong prioritization and project management abilities. Able to juggle multiple timelines and contributors across a remote, globally distributed team
- Experience with Google Gemini or similar AI tools for content workflows
- Background in a PaaS or SaaS environment
- Proficiency in French or German

- As the head of Content Marketing, you lead the charge in scaling our content efforts across every channel, bringing our story to life and fueling growth through strategic, engaging, and innovative content
- You are a strategist, a mentor, and a storyteller
- From building scalable content systems to guiding a growing team, you balance creativity with data and tools (including AI) to deliver impact
- Your content is aligned with business goals, crafted with intention, and tuned to the needs of a fast-moving, global audience
- You collaborate closely with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Communications, Design, Events, Sales, and Product teams, ensuring our messaging is consistent, compelling, and distinctive across every touchpoint
- Strategic Ownership: Lead and evolve Upsun’s content strategy, ensuring alignment with brand, business, and product objectives
- Team Leadership: Mentor and grow a high-performing team of full-time and freelance content creators across a variety of formats and platforms
- Content Production at Scale: Leverage tools (including AI) and data-driven insights to increase content volume, quality, and reach
- Channel Expertise: Oversee content across all platforms (website, blog, email, video, audio) ensuring distinctiveness and impact
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Communications teams to drive integrated campaigns and messaging cohesion
- Performance Optimization: Analyze content performance using KPIs and analytics tools; adapt strategy based on insights and market trends
- Editorial Excellence: Manage editorial calendars and workflows, ensuring transparency, timeliness, and consistency across teams
- Governance & Standards: Maintain and evolve documentation including tone of voice, editorial standards, and content guidelines
- Tools & Budgets: Oversee content-related tools, vendors, and budgets to support operational efficiency and innovation
- Market Awareness: Stay informed of emerging trends in content, SEO, and new formats to ensure Upsun remains at the forefront
