About the role

Job Description

The role is responsible for project management supporting program implementation and roll-out support for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) business and/or Aramark Managed business as well as being a key Supply Chain contact for operational field support. This includes assisting with vendor integration activities, supporting distribution and compliance opportunities, and problem solving operational matters.

The Manager is responsible for maintaining a solid understanding of the GPO and Contracted Services landscape and general knowledge of contracted suppliers and categories. It is essential to the role that the position instill strong inter-departmental communication and coordination to maximize the implementation of business development activities. The ultimate goal is to assist in optimizing the value from Supply Chain’s programs to GPO members and/or Aramark managed operations and to ensure successful implemenation of intiatives that maximize enterprise value.

Job Responsibilities

Project Management (50%) – Lead the commercialization process and oversee the completion of all initiatives in the calendar. Responsible for maintaining and reporting the status of all initiatives. Ensure successful implementation of new programs and ensuring existing programs are effectively in place. Tracking successful transition of purchases and assisting with resolution to hurdles impeding compliance.

Operations & Field Support (15%) – Resolving issues that arise or meeting business/operational needs (ie. distribution/product inquiries, location openings, new product requirements, standards implementation, development of client facing materials). Supporting operational & client requests, marketing initiatives, menu/culinary support. Aligning Procurement team strategies with stakeholder needs.

Supplier/Vendor Interaction and Coordination (15%) – regularly interact with Supplier partner representatives in coordinating initiatives, operational needs and requests.

Analytics (20%) – formulating and developing reports to support compliance efforts and/or other initiatives requested from the Engagement team.

Qualifications

  • Requires three or more years of Category/Distribution/Logistics management or Foodservice Operational Management experience.
  • Supply Chain Management or Data Management accreditation an asset
  • Results oriented, self-starter, well organized, ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to make effective presentations, transfer information to others, and present solutions.
  • Diplomacy, tact, and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of food service and / or hospitality.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are critical.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
