Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

A Part-Time Academic is needed to teach COMM 3705 Contemporary Issues in Global Business in the Faculty of Management in the Fall term (Sep-Dec 2025, W 1435-1725).

The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for the organization of the course, teaching and evaluation materials, student assessment, and assurance of learning. The Part-Time Academic shall also hold two hours of office hours per week for direct consultation by students, for which office space will be provided.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

This is a position with a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, excellent communication and dedication to student success. A Master’s degree in Management, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field is essential. Candidates must have demonstrated good knowledge of the subject matter, and completion of a PhD, a PhD in progress and prior teaching or related work experience in practice are considered to be strong assets. Preference will further be given to candidates with experience or interests in creating innovative pedagogical materials that can also incorporate principles of equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility (EDIA).

Salary Range/Pay Rate

$6,478 per course (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)
