Are you a recent CPA from Public Accounting looking to get into industry? Our client, located in Guelph, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Manager Financial Reporting, this role focuses on preparation of financial reporting, complex accounting, and acting as a key resource for internal stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Preparation and delivery of reporting
- Contribute to the reporting processes from several companies and departments
- Prepare journal entries for complex accounting activities
- Review and analyze reporting and account balances
- Mentor more junior staff
- Act as an important resource for internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Must have experience from a Public Accounting firm
- CPA designation or closer to completion
- Ideally have experience with IFRS
- Prior experience working with insurance companies would be a huge asset
- Strong technical skills
- Willingness to learn
