The Musart Cultural Society operates at Deep Cove Music and Arts Centre in North Vancouver, BC V7G 1S3. We have been in business for over 28 years and our goal has always been to have fun while being creative! The business is comprised of:

MUSART CULTURAL SOCIETY

HIRING: Marketing Manager and Program Developer

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • MARKETING MANAGER: is this position's priority. This position will film, edit, create content and execute the marketing plan, strategies and content for print, newsletters and social media for our programs, camps and events. They will collaborate with the other positions during this process. This will include the creative side, budgeting, and completion of content ready to release or post dated for release on all digital platforms. marketing for Musart through media such as TV, Radio, and Newsprint, graphic design, posters, email marketing, social media marketing. Help to obtain sponsorships or coordinate with local schools and businesses for opportunities to expand our student base. Documenting camps and the Musart Concert Series with pictures and video.
  • PROGRAM DEVELOPER: This position will also be available to assist our Community Arts Coordinator and Program Director to help develop new and improve existing programs by developing and editing curriculum, program and course content development and make deliverables on our platform called TeacherZone. Included in this will be creating accurate budgets, HR, administration and marketing.

COLLABORATION WITH OTHER TEAM MEMBERS:

  • PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT & EDUCATIONAL PLANNING DIRECTOR and COMMUNITY ARTS COORDINATOR: This position will be available to help and collaborate with the Coordinator and Director to manage and execute their tasks if needed
  • CAMP LEADERS: this position will be available to assist the with camps and programs itineraries if needed
  • EVENT PLANNER: This position will also be able to help with our event planner to coordinate the Musart Concert Series if needed

CANADA SUMMER JOBS GRANT

These positions are funded by the Canada Summer Jobs grant.

  • REMUNERATION: The positions are funded based on what we are granted - this comes to around $5,000 for the summer. Details will be discussed in the interview.
  • REQUIREMENTS: The employee that will be hired as a participant of the Canada Summer Jobs program must:

(a) be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;

(b) be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and

(c) be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $17.85-$20.83 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • North Vancouver, BC V7G 1S3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
