Job Description: We are seeking a recent engineering graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering. This is a design-heavy position that involves:
- 3D modeling and drafting of civil/structural infrastructure
- Structural and civil design, with a focus on steel and concrete design
- Application of first principles and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for structural components
- Integration of 3D scanning and point cloud data for site analysis and existing conditions
- Client interfacing and site visits
- Conducting field surveys and collecting site information
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings for civil engineering projects.
- Perform structural and civil design tasks related to foundations and steel/concrete support structures
- Utilize FEA software for analysis and validation of structural elements within civil designs.
- Integrate 3D scanning and point cloud data into civil design processes for accurate existing condition models.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality civil engineering solutions.
- Interface with clients to understand project requirements, site constraints, and provide design updates.
- Visit client sites (approximately 20% of the time) to gather requirements, conduct field surveys, and collect relevant site information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Strong understanding of civil engineering first principles, including hydraulics, soil mechanics, and structural analysis.
- Experience with FEA software is an asset.
- Experience with 3D scanning and point cloud integration for civil applications.
- Official university transcripts required
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Proficiency in English; French is an asset
