Part-Time Bookkeeping & Billing Assistant (Remote – 20 hrs/week)
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeping & Billing Assistant to support our team in maintaining accurate financial records, managing customer billing, and assisting with client communications. This is a remote position requiring 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and a strong emphasis on accuracy, professionalism, and client care.

Project overview

Key Responsibilities Invoice Preparation Create and send invoices in Zoho Books based on teacher-submitted reports and service records. Generate recurring invoices from booked leads in our internal database. Client Support & Communication Respond to billing-related service tickets using Zoho Desk. Make outbound calls to clients as needed to address billing concerns, provide reassurance, or follow up on service issues. Accounts Receivable & Collections Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables. Coordinate polite and professional reminders for overdue accounts. Expense Entry & Invoice Auditing Enter expenses into the system from bills received via service tickets. Audit and verify final invoices before submission to ensure accuracy and compliance. Requirements Experience with Zoho Books and/or Zoho Desk (or other CRM/ticketing systems). Strong bookkeeping or accounting background. Excellent communication skills — both written (email/tickets) and verbal (outbound phone calls). High attention to detail and organizational skills. Professional, empathetic client-facing demeanor. Reliable internet connection and availability to work during North American time zones (partial overlap required). Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Familiarity with music education or teaching businesses Experience with Canadian/US billing practices Comfort with light customer service work beyond just bookkeeping Position Details Location: Remote Hours: 20 hours/week (flexible, with some overlap to North American business hours) Start Date: Immediate Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
