About the role

At Tiny, we buy wonderful businesses and partner with founders to provide quick, straightforward exits that protect their team and culture while ensuring long-term success. For over a decade, we've worked to be the buyer we wish we could have sold to—fair, fast, and founder-friendly.

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manager of Financial Reporting to lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and ensure compliance with external reporting requirements under IFRS. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and serve as the key liaison with external auditors, while applying strong technical accounting knowledge and a deep understanding of consolidations, particularly across multi-currency entities.

Location: Canada (Remote)

What You’ll Do

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Prepare and consolidate quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&A in compliance with IFRS.
  • Review and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead and coordinate consolidation activities across multiple business entities and currencies.

Technical Accounting & Audit

  • Conduct technical accounting research on complex transactions (e.g., acquisitions, share-based compensation, financial instruments).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
  • Ensure financial statements and disclosures meet external filing requirements, including TSXV timelines where applicable.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Treasury, Finance Operations, and Tax teams to align and streamline financial reporting.
  • Support strategic finance initiatives and ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional designation.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, with a mix of public accounting and public company experience preferred.
  • Proven experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience managing teams or projects.
  • Familiarity with TSXV filing timelines and reporting requirements is a plus.
