ROLE OVERVIEW
As Business Development Coordinator, your primary focus will be owning the proposal process — from long-form RFP responses to detailed estimates and pitch decks. You’ll be the driving force behind our new business success, ensuring every touchpoint is handled with care, precision, and efficiency. In addition to managing the flow of new opportunities, you’ll support senior leadership on strategic initiatives and play a key role in shaping Takt’s growth over the next few years.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Primary Responsibilities
- Proposals + Estimates: Oversee the preparation and delivery of estimates and proposals, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Lead Management: Respond to and manage follow-up communications around new leads/opportunities, ensuring potential clients receive timely and professional responses.
- Client Intake Process: Manage the client intake process, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience between the business development team and the project team.
- Pitch Management: Coordinate the preparation and delivery of pitches for new business opportunities, ensuring the right people are in the room and briefed appropriately.
- CRM Management: Maintain the CRM system for incoming partnerships, ensuring data is accurate and up-to-date as leads progress through the pipeline.
- Business Development Metrics: Track and analyze business development metrics, providing insights that drive growth.
- Support for Senior Leadership: Assist senior leadership with drafting accurate Statements of Work (SoWs) Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and other business development activities as needed for the role.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Award Submissions: Manage the submission process for industry awards, aiming for 1-2 submissions per month.
- Press Releases: Prepare and publish press releases for company owners, enhancing Takt’s visibility in the industry.
- Testimonials & Reviews: Gather and manage client testimonials and reviews to showcase our successes (both written and video).
- Process Development: When time permits, contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in a proposal writing or business development support role, ideally within a digital agency or creative environment. Plus 2+ years of experience in written and verbal client facing communications.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for building strong client relationships.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to managing estimates, proposals, and client communications.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze business development metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Proactive Mindset: A self-starter who can anticipate needs and act with initiative.
- PR Savvy: Familiarity with managing PR-related tasks, including award submissions and press relations, is a plus.
SKILLS
Successful candidates will have experience working with:
- Google Suite (Docs, spreadsheets, presentation slides)
- Figma - general familiarity for cloning and editing documents
- Customer Relationship Management Software
- Chat GPT prompting for thoughtful research, writing briefs and more
COMPENSATION
$55,000 – $70,000 annually (based on experience).
