It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives.

We are looking for an Equipment Inventory Clerk based on our site in Amaranth, ON.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to Equipment Manager; ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented, customer-focused individual.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Be the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory

  • Process shipping and receiving documents for equipment movement and input data into relevant systems.

  • Identify serial numbers, record equipment details, and apply correct labels.

  • Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all

  • Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team

  • Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods, as required

  • QUALIFICATIONS

Here’s what you bring:

  • 1 to 2+ years of similar experience.
  • High school graduate. Any post-secondary education is an asset. Knowledge of - or the desire to learn about* - construction equipment and trucks.
  • Proficient with computers and good working knowledge/experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role.
  • Strong customer service orientation. You have a natural ease of dealing with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills. You’re the type that leaves no detail unattended.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-directed, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch in wherever needed.
  • You like to work hard but still have fun on the job.

This job will require you to:

  • Have a valid, clean driver’s license.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks.
  • Work regular overtime, including weekend hours. You can expect to work extra hours prior to each sale, during each sale, and after each sale.
  • Travel to other auction sites.
