About the role
Overview
As Catering and Events Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. This dynamic and exciting role combines sales expertise, event planning prowess, and exceptional customer service skills to drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional events. You will be responsible for cultivating client relationships, coordinating all aspects of event planning, and ensuring seamless execution. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality will be instrumental in our continued success.
Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure successful event execution.
· Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including but not limited to, logistics, timelines, décor, audio-visual needs, and food and beverage service.
· Oversee the preparation and service of food and beverages, ensuring quality, presentation and proper health and safety standards are maintained.
· Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, ensuring all expenses are within budget limits.
· Develop and maintain event menus and coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure proper food preparation and presentation.
· Ensure that all event operations comply with local health and safety regulations.
· Hire, train and manage event staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
· Collaborate with event clients to understand their specific needs and preferences, and ensure their expectations are met.
· Manage event setup and breakdown, ensuring that all equipment is properly set up, stored and maintained.
· Attend events to supervise and ensure seamless execution.
Experience

Minimum 3 years previous experience in catering, restaurant, or hotel management

Strong knowledge of food handling, food safety, and bartending practices

Proven track record in team management and leadership roles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Certification in food safety or related field is a plus
