WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Team on a 7-month contractual basis . This position will be based out of our head office in Liberty Village and offers candidates the opportunity to work hybrid , 2-days a week in-office and 3-days a week work-from-home.
This person will be responsible for all the hourly and salary hiring within our high volume manufacturing/production/warehouse facilities - globally as well as our Scientific Quality labs .
WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Lead comprehensive and consultative recruitment strategy meetings with hiring managers, advising on market trends and talent insights in order to understand role requirements, core competencies and profiles to fulfill talent needs in a timely manner
- Implement robust recruitment strategies through talent mapping, direct sourcing
- Strong relationship building skills with a hyper focus on delivering best in class hiring manager and candidate experience
- Recruitment and selection activities include maintaining an organized resume database, liaising with department managers, posting job descriptions, screening resumes, interviewing, and rating candidates, offer negotiations and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers and make recommendations during the recruitment and selection process
- Responsible for completing offer letter agreements and sending to candidates for signing and completing onboarding paperwork
- Conducting professional reference and criminal background checks of new hires
- Collect all relevant government issued identification and, if applicable, valid work permits to ensure compliance with employment standards
- Create employee files in human resources drives and maintain employee notes, relevant employee documents as and maintain data integrity
- Communicate with department managers to ensure timely notification of start date with department managers and appropriate parties to ensure proper new employee orientation
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- 5+ years of progressive experience in full life-cycle recruiting required and a minimum of 2+ years recruiting within a high volume manufacturing/production/warehouse environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills both written and oral and ability to work with all levels of staff and management
- Demonstrated experience with high-volume recruitment across a wide range of positions
- Excellent organization skills and demonstrate accuracy and detail-orientation is a must
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team in a fast-pace, dynamic environment
