Job Summary

Rogers Partners LLP is a law firm with a unique litigation practice that has the personal touch of a smaller firm along with the resources, expertise, and experience of a larger firm. We act as counsel at all levels of our civil justice system. We are defense counsel for insurers and self-insured companies, managing litigation arising from all types of losses including product liability, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence, motor vehicle liability, property losses, municipal liability, medical negligence, and sexual abuse. We firmly believe the success of our firm and our lawyers begins with our administrative staff.

Rogers Partners LLP is seeking a receptionist/office clerk.

Principal Duties include:

  • Greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ensure all phone calls are screened and accurately directed to the appropriate recipient
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, couriers, faxes, letters and facilitate receipt of material from process servers
  • Book and prepare boardrooms for meetings and presentations
  • Liaise with building landlord for office maintenance
  • Assist Accounting department with entering courier invoices and postage charges into accounting software
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies
  • Maintain the two kitchens, unloading dishwasher, ordering kitchen supplies
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support, including photocopying, filing, faxing and binding
  • Any other general administrative duties as required by the firm or any other task that you are asked to assist

Required Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • Two (2) to three (3) years previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment is an asset
  • Proficiency in using office equipment, multi-line phone systems, printers, and photocopiers
  • Familiarity with Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter; able to take initiative and work independently with minimal to moderate supervision on a daily basis
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Professional, friendly, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
  • Effective organizational skills, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
