Desai Maruszki LLP is looking for a personal injury law clerk with three to four years

’ experience!

The ideal candidate will have experience with accident benefits and tort claims, with knowledge of the SABS and the Rules of Civil Procedure

,

excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and will be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• General management of files including handling of accident benefits from open to close;
• Conducting intakes for potential new clients;
• Drafting correspondence to clients, medical professionals, defence counsel, insurance companies and third parties;
• Serving/exchanging documents with opposing parties;
• Identifying, organizing and summarizing documentation;
• Preparation of pleadings;
• Drafting LAT applications and pleadings;
• Preparing and providing medical briefs to various experts;
• Preparation for discoveries, mediations, trials and LAT hearings;
• Preparing file closing documents; and
• Providing constant communication between client and team.
