We're looking for an energetic, motivated, and technically skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in Invermere, B.C. In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner—helping clients confidently grow their businesses and reach their financial goals. What You Will Do
Your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of strong, lasting client relationships by understanding their unique needs and delivering personalized, forward-thinking solutions.
- Manage and coordinate the timely delivery of high-quality accounting services in collaboration with the team to consistently exceed client expectations.
- Play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and shaping strategies that support Avail’s continued growth and success.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Prepare and review personal, trust, and corporate tax returns with meticulous attention to compliance, quality, and firm policies.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and deliver optimal client results.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to provide clients with proactive, insightful financial advice.
What We're Looking For
- A CPA designation.
- A minimum of 5+ years of proven success in public practice, including tax compliance, engagement management, and experience working with a diverse client base.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial information for clients.
- Strong analytical thinking, capable of navigating complex client projects and delivering effective solutions.
- The ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Experience reviewing the work of less experienced team members, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring accuracy and compliance.
