The Mine Engineer/Technologist is part of a team of Mine Engineers and Geologists reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer.

This position is located in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

  • Mine ventilation surveys, reporting, and optimization
  • Air quality system measurement, maintenance, and improvement
  • In field ground condition assessments and ground support plans
  • Geophysical surveys
  • Geological mapping and investigation
  • Project management of underground capital and operating projects
  • Underground safety and production enhancement studies and projects
  • Mine design and planning
  • Mining research, data collection, analysis and reporting

What you will bring:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university , OR
  • A Mine Engineering Technology Diploma, with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be registered with APEGS or equivalent provincial regulatory authority (if applicable)
  • Must have operational, safety, and technical knowledge of current mining practices
  • Demonstrated positive safety behavior and safety leadership
  • Possess strong leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to develop technical and analytic skills to excel in a complex operating environment
  • Strong computer skills are required, including the use of MS Office and CAD programs
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training and exposure to underground processes
