Unimatrix Computer Solutions is a growing MSP that works with small to mid-sized businesses. We focus on real-world solutions that keep our clients secure, productive, and supported. We’re looking for a senior-level technician who knows their stuff someone who can lead, troubleshoot, and get hands-on in a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
We need a Head Technician / Technical Manager who can handle advanced technical escalations, manage the helpdesk team, and take ownership of our clients’ technical environments. This is a mix of hands-on work and leadership. You’ll be supporting client networks, managing projects, guiding junior staff, and helping shape the technical direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the top-level escalation point for all technical issues.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain IT infrastructure (servers, networks, firewalls, backups, cloud services).
- Lead and mentor junior techs and helpdesk staff.
- Handle project planning and client implementations (migrations, rollouts, upgrades, etc.).
- Communicate clearly with clients - no jargon, just solutions.
- Improve internal processes, documentation, and standards.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and evaluating their infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years experience in an MSP or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet), backups, RMM/PSA tools.
- Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware) and networking (switching, VLANs, VPNs).
- Comfortable working with cloud platforms (Azure, M365, AWS).
- Proven ability to manage technical staff and client relationships.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and doesn’t need babysitting.
- Solid documentation habits and process thinking.
