Job Description
The Associate Director of Data Engineering will lead a team of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data architecture. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles and practices, as well as experience with big data technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines and data architecture.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices.
