We are looking for an HR Advisor, Learning & Development (Retail Lending) to join our Human Resources team, so if you're passionate about learning and development and have experience with instructional design and facilitation, we'd like to hear from you.
What’s the role?
As an HR Advisor, Learning & Development (Retail Lending), you will be responsible to promote employee development through effective training programs. You will complete the instructional design, develop training programs, and facilitate learning that aligns to corporate goals and objectives. As the HR Advisor, Learning and Development (Retail Lending) you will partner with managers and staff to foster continuous learning, effective onboarding, and high performance across the organization.
This role's portfolio primarily focuses on supporting and developing retail lending and sales skills and training. This remote opportunity is open to candidates based on Vancouver Island.
Your duties also include:
- Consultation and collaboration with stakeholders to assess development needs
- Completing all avenues of training design including: conducting design analysis, establishing learning objectives and evaluation, creating detailed design, developing materials and supporting implementation
- Completing all items pertaining to facilitating training: developing lesson plans, preparing facilitation materials, creating a learning environment, engaging learners, interactive eLearning, fostering learning and assessment
- Maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS), including managing content and reporting
- Effectively introducing new employees to the organization by assisting with the development, coordination and facilitation of the Orientation and Onboarding programs
- Supporting the Human Resources Department with special projects
- Managing all external education booking, supplies, and coordinatain all opening and closing requirements.
- Coordinates internal training sessions, materials and resources
What are we looking for?
- Successful completion of a high school diploma
- Professional instructional design/training certificate is an asset
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources - or the ability to work towards designation completion
Ideally, you are a flexible, collaborative team player with:
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Strong experience in providing detailed and accurate information to third parties
- Strong experience in training techniques and facilitating workshops
- Past experience in a retail lending role would be an asset
- Experience with selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new concepts
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Career Band Range (Annual Salary) - $70,500.00 to $90,173.00
The posted salary range is designed to reflect a broad career band, encompassing a variety of roles within our organization and serves as a general guideline. Your final compensation will be tailored to your unique skills, experience, and the responsibilities of the role.
