Position Overview:
Business Process activities supporting and oversees daily operations for business area within CIBC Mellon whose primarily responsible is to ensure that operational teams are operating optimally with minimal interruptions and risk. As a senior analyst of the team, the senior will support and guide the analyst and assist management as required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, troubleshoot and coordinate Level 1 and 2 operation and process issues raised by the business teams
- Investigate, analyze, and work with business users/groups, vendors, and third parties to ensure timely resolution of the identified issue.
- Investigates, analyzes and recommends potential system/application business related solutions in response to the business, customized client requirements and opportunities for enhancements to processes, working in collaboration with vendors, internal departments, and third parties to ensure timely resolution of the application and operation issues
- Provides operation process support for application and system release and changes as required
- Provides operation process support for operation improvement related issues
- Coordinate and resolve production priority operation issues
- Responsible for system control data, security master and fund setups on the business system platforms definitions
- Coordinate and resolve production priority operation application and system non-technical issues
- Coordinate meetings with various groups in support of operations, application related issues
- Manage and communicate with end users and business owners of system incidents, maintenance and change activities
- Process and system analysis, documentation/validation of business requirements from business users and functional specification requirements
- Provide documented analysis, tasks and workflow analysis.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and users in prioritizing open issues as required
- Provide subject matter expert on system for supported application for Business Operation teams
- Provides process and business support during the completion of Year End activities
- Initiates and engages in activities involved with the annual BRP testing processes at both the corporate and vendor levels.
- Ensures quality data control, managing risk and adherence to audit requirements for system environment set ups and changes for business supported system applications.
Qualifications:
- University degree
- 3-5 years progressive experience
- Application workflow knowledge is an asset
- Strong industry knowledge within the Financial Institution Mutual Funds, Pooled Funds, and Labor-sponsored funds fields
- Systems knowledge of operation application or similar back office system is an asset
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and operational issues
- Communication, time management and analytical skills
