Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in QuickBooks (QB), fund accounting, and nonprofit financial operations. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting grant tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Track and report on restricted and unrestricted funds in accordance with fund accounting principles.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting for grants and programs.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and/or online).
- Strong understanding of fund accounting and nonprofit financial management.
- Knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with tax accounting and related compliance requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.24-$32.91 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
