Arterra Wines Canada Western Viticulture Department is a multi-farm operation with world class properties spanning across the South Okanagan from Osoyoos to Summerland. We have premium vineyards containing a wide range of grape varieties, soil types, and growing conditions.

We are currently recruiting for a detail oriented, organized individual who is self-motivated, and customer focused to fill the contract position of Contract Viticulture Operations Coordinator based out of our Viticulture Office located in Oliver, BC. The Role This role is responsible for performing financial analysis and reporting while supporting the day-to-day operations of Arterra’s Viticulture department. This role is involved in yearly budget processes/meetings and also executes a variety of administrative and clerical duties and provides support to management and employees. Primarily work office environment with occasional off-site work.

What You Will Be Doing Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Monthly financial reports (hour and budget tracking, journal adjustments)
  • Annual viticulture budget creation (consumables, labour, capital projects, grant applications)
  • Financial analysis projects as assigned (year end spend estimation, vehicle costing)
  • Prepare and submit expense claims

Administrative Tasks

  • Support administrative tasks for the foreign worker program (completion of all related paperwork, including but not limited to, applications, intake and departure arrangements).
  • Support grower data management & reporting (supplier data, JDE data, grower statements, BC wine authority, crop insurance).
  • Vehicle insurance renewals and database maintenance
  • Sustainability reporting (fuel, electricity usage)
  • Lease & asset database tracking/maintenance
  • Respond to inquiries and collaborate with supervisors, employees as needed
  • Perform general vineyard administrative tasks as required or requested (office reception, meeting documentation, filing, etc.).
  • Complete ad hoc assignments as required.

What You Bring

  • Office Administration Diploma or Equivalent Education / Training
  • Previous Administrative experience
  • Experience with finance/accounting an asset
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with an emphasis on Excel
  • High level of computer literacy with ability to learn complex internal software programs
  • Ability to triage quickly and be adaptive and resilient to change (short-term and long-term) with proven problem-solving skills
  • Creative, logical, and critical thinking skills and strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Collaborative nature is a must, but must be able to take initiative and work independently
  • Results oriented, self-motivated, driven and disciplined

Compensation : Budgeted Range – $60,335.00 – $78,081.00

The budgeted range considers several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
