Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and detail-oriented IT Data Analyst Architect to join our client’s team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data architecture while gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, optimizing processes, and developing data strategies aligned with our business goals.
- Location: Calgary, Alberta, downtown office
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 40h /week
- Job type: Long term contract | Full-time | 12-month Contract

Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Management:
- Gather data from diverse sources, including internal databases, systems, and external data streams.
- Develop and maintain efficient data collection and storage systems.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and overall quality.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Apply statistical techniques and analytical tools to extract meaningful insights.
- Identify trends, correlations, patterns, and inconsistencies within data sets and associated systems.
- Develop and implement data models to support analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Create clear visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate findings effectively.
- Present insights and make recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Troubleshooting and Optimization:
- Identify and resolve issues related to data systems, pipelines, and processes.
- Optimize data collection, storage, and analytical processes for greater efficiency and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvements to enhance data quality and develop sustainable, low-maintenance solutions.
- Designing and Implementing Data Models:
- Design robust data models that determine how data is structured, stored, accessed, and managed.
- Ensure data models align with business objectives and support evolving organizational needs.
- Ensuring Data Integrity and Security:
- Contribute to and uphold standards for data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement best practices for safeguarding sensitive and critical information.
- Developing Data Strategies:
- Support the development and execution of the company’s overall data strategy.
- Ensure data architecture and processes align with broader business goals and objectives.
- Staying Current with Technology:
- Continuously research and evaluate emerging data technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling and database design principles, and Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, engineering, and finance.
- Proficiency in Python specifically (but any statistical programming language is a plus) Databricks. PI Data Historian, MS SQL Server. other data visualization tools, and REST API programming, data migration. Proficiency in data warehousing, ETL (extract, transform, load) processes, and data modeling tools.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate complex information, data flows and processes to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of the upstream oil & gas industry, specifically Process Data, SCADA, Field Data Capture, heavy oil production processes, AB and SK air emissions regulations
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
