About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Category Manager to manage multiple product categories and drive business growth across corporate stores and wholesaler customers. This role is responsible for aligning product categories with business objectives, maximizing market share, optimizing profitability, and ensuring consistency with growth strategies. The Category Manager will manage the entire end-to-end process—from strategy development to execution—while maintaining market expertise through ongoing research, supplier analysis, and financial evaluation.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills, and has a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize revenue and profitability metrics using existing company frameworks while assisting in the development of new reporting standards.
  • Implement product assortment, sales, and buying plans tailored to customer needs and corporate objectives; continuously review and optimize plans to achieve targets.
  • Partner with the teams to develop innovative and differentiated products that drive proprietary brand growth and align with strategic goals.
  • Provide clear merchandising direction for assigned categories to ensure consistent communication across departments.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimize sales performance and profitability.
  • Take ownership of decisions and results with a strong commitment to personal and team development.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant buying experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong proficiency in managing P&L statements and making data-driven decisions.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute short- and long-term plans aligned with strategic goals.
  • A progressive mindset with a commitment to driving competitiveness and embracing innovative approaches.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills with great attention to detail; capable of translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking skills combined with a solid work ethic.
