Position: Wash Technician
Status: Full-Time

OpenShine Holdings Ltd., the operator of several Tommy's Express Car Wash franchises in Southwest Ontario, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wash Technician. This individual will aid in ensuring daily operations are running smoothly at our Tommy’s Express Brampton facility. About Tommy's Express:

At Tommy's Express, we are not just washing cars; we are creating an experience. Our facilities are designed with cutting-edge technology and a focus on providing exceptional customer service.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regularly inspect equipment, detergents, and drying to ensure the best possible wash quality and make improvements or escalate where needed

  • Order detergents and parts as needed with approval from site leader

  • Help trouble shoot any issues on site regarding wash equipment, technology, and utilities

  • Perform after-hours maintenance as needed

  • Complete daily preventative maintenance by following the preventative maintenance checklist in the manager app.

  • Schedule maintenance projects as needed and coordinate projects get done in a timely manner

  • Maintain vacuum equipment; monitor all hoses, gaskets, and nozzles and replace as needed

  • Lead larger scale equipment maintenance and repair projects.

  • Coordinate with maintenance supervisor on the condition of the wash and if help is needed with projects

  • Coordinate with subcontractors for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance needs

  • Contact support when help is needed and keep a timely eye on tickets that are being completed

  • Monthly tool check and replacement upon site leaders approval

  • Monthly parts list check and replacement upon site leaders approval

  • Submit monthly volumetrics

  • Manage facility maintenance including landscaping, sprinklers, snow removal, vacuums, and other facilities projects as needed

  • Serve as on-call team member for wash down situations

  • Train new team members on the wash tech, safety, and vacuum concierge positions

  • Train shift leaders and above on preventative maintenance and maintenance items

  • Step in to work other positions if needed

  • Work standard team member shifts as determined by Site Leader and Regional Director

  • Keep inventory of tools and wash parts on site

  • Keep tool benches and work areas organized and clean

  • Exemplify and uphold the WE OWN IT culture

  • Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to effectively communicate

  • Able to move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds

  • Previous technician/mechanic experience is an asset

  • Prior experience with service, maintenance and repairs

  • Able to work in all weather conditions

  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers

  • Must be willing to work hard, build relationships and love people!
