About the role
Our client is a well-established, continuously evolving international company seeking a Senior Manager, Tax to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Director, the Senior Manager will play a key role in supporting the tax structuring of a growing global operation. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of Canadian and global tax principles, with strong expertise in permanent establishment risk, indirect tax solutions, and international entity establishment to help achieve business objectives while minimizing double taxation. Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational, planning, and time management abilities are essential. This collaborative team player will possess clear verbal and written communication skills and contribute to implementing systems that enhance tax reporting and automate processes, ensuring compliance and accurate reflection of tax legislation in financial reporting. The main responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Director in establishing an efficient global tax structure aligned with business objectives
- Evaluating and integrating indirect tax functionalities into the tax engine for accurate billing
- Supporting transfer pricing arrangements and collaborating with Legal on intercompany agreements
- Facilitating tax-efficient cash repatriation from subsidiaries
- Partnering with Tax and IT teams to implement tax software for streamlined reporting
- Maintaining internal controls over income tax accounting
- Assisting in responding to audit requests
- Serving as a resource for internal tax-related inquiries
- Supporting tax planning initiatives as needed
- Monitoring and estimating annual cash taxes

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA designation completed
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Must be able to obtain Reliability Clearance
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proficiency in MS Office
Assets (nice to have):
- Master's degree in business taxation and/or completion of in-depth tax courses
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $130,000 - $160,000 salary range
- 13% bonus
- Excellent group insurance benefits
- 4+ weeks’ vacation
