Role
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces, the Executive Director, OHS Prevention Services is responsible for strategic leadership to support an effective provincial occupational health and safety system. This is accomplished by working closely with system partners in delivering the Certificate of Recognition program, supporting high quality research, conducting surveillance on emerging trends and issues, and developing and promoting best practices and resources aimed at preventing workplace incidents.
The Executive Director is responsible for an operating budget of $8.25 million and leads a team of approximately 35 staff.
The Executive Director leverages OHS-related expertise and exceptional stakeholder relationship skills to drive a prevention focus throughout the OHS system.
Qualifications
Your background includes extensive related senior management experience in a large, complex environment with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety policy and legislation. You are a proven leader known for motivating staff, building strong teams and leadership organizational change. You are experienced at program design and project management and have strengths in strategic thinking and problem solving. You have demonstrated abilities to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders groups. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are essential. A related degree is required.
Salary
$5,234.94 - $6,879.68 bi-weekly ($136,631 - $179,559 yearly)
