As a sheet metal insulator with our company, you will become part of a team of stellar employees who are highly valued and skilled. As a member of our team, you will plan, lay out, repair, and install HVAC duct insulation and assist where needed in a supportive role to others on your team. Job Responsibilities

• Apply, remove and repair thermal insulation on air ducting systems.
• Work from ladders and lifts
• Follow engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to determine install requirements.
• Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation
• Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension
• Fit insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings
• Duct seal ductwork according to specifications and building codes
• Install ductwork insulation according to specifications and building codes
• Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications
• Perform other basic on-site tasks as directed

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• Valid drivers license
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• Must have reliable transportation
• Experience installing FSK, rigid board insulation and firewrap preferred
• Lift ticket an asset, but not required
• Fall arrest an asset, but not required
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Team player with proven ability to work independently and cohesively towards job completion
• Excellent communication skills and ability to professionally represent the organization with all stakeholders
• Accountable problem solver with the ability to oversee projects

Preferred:

• 1 or more years of duct insulating / sheet metal experience
• Experience working with steel and forming crews.
• Installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
• Knowledge of building codes

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
