About the role

Reporting to the Estimating Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible, among other things, for handling requests related to commercial products submitted to the department. He will act as a support and reference for external sales representatives in the Montreal territory, the company's purchasing group and logistics.

Bidding Phase What you will accomplish with us:

  • Analyze plans & specifications and proposals
  • Identify products to be bid on plans & specifications and proposals
  • Actively participate in the completion of tasks
  • Select products from manufacturers' pricing software
  • Ensure that products bid meet the requirements of plans & specifications and proposals, and involve external representatives in the process
  • Prepare bids to be sent to contractors

Sales Phase

  • Follow-up on proposals worked out with customers and representatives
  • Adjust bids in preparation for negotiations
  • Negotiate or participate in proposal negotiations
  • Ensure the updating of notes related to the evolution of worked proposals.

Project Management Phase

  • Evaluate the technical content of plans & specifications as well as proposals, and ensure that products sold meet specified requirements, in conjunction with external representatives and the Technical Manager as required.
  • Actively participate in meetings to establish closure strategies for key projects.
  • Follow project from qualification phase to completion.
  • Provide technical support to customers, representatives and team.
  • Act as a facilitator throughout the project completion process.
  • Act as an ambassador for quality in projects.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a structured manner
  • Ability to build relationships with customers (internal & external) and suppliers
  • Strong planning skills
  • Autonomy and rigor in managing priorities
  • Strong sales skills
  • Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with our internal and/or external Master Group collaborators across the country. After evaluation, it has been determined that no other solution can meet these professional obligations.
