Reporting to the President & COO of Steele Auto Group, we are seeking a Vice President, ECI Operations to lead the East Coast International division.
This role can be based in Dartmouth, NS or Moncton, NB.
What this role is:
The Vice President will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership for all day-to-day operations across ECI’s locations and service lines, including:
- Increasing integration into the culture and systems of Steele Auto Group
- Full P&L responsibility
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance, productivity, and efficiency through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
- Serving as the primary relationship builder with key customers and manufacturers, including U.S.-based strategic partners
- Acting as champion of a culture of safety, accountability, and proactive risk management
- Responding to evolving regulatory requirements (vehicle maintenance, environmental, OH&S)
- Leading and mentoring a team of ~170, including three Directors and two General Managers
- Developing a strong, unified culture aligned with Steele’s values and honoring the legacy and identity of ECI
Who you are:
- A seasoned operational leader with experience in the heavy truck, equipment, or automotive sectors. You’ve led B2B service organizations and thrive in times of transformation.
- Commercially savvy, you’ve delivered results across sales, service, and parts. You understand fixed vs. variable operations and know that while truck sales matter, service and operational excellence drive long-term value.
- A relationship builder, not only with your internal teams but with manufacturers, suppliers, and the executive leadership team. You know how to inspire a team and coach high-potential leaders.
- Comfortable with autonomy and decision-making, navigating within a larger enterprise framework while having the confidence to lead independently. You’re known for building credibility quickly, particularly with teams that need reassurance, clarity, and direction.
