We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our clients' accounting team and support our continued growth. This role involves overseeing the accounting functions across three operating companies. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow alongside the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Project and cost based accounting
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely payment of obligations
- Oversee collections and ensure timely invoicing and payments
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Manage intercompany cost allocations and shared service billbacks
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for leadership
- Collaborate with Project Managers to maximize job profitability
- Provide job cost and KPI reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis
- Analyze revenue and gross margins to support business decisions
- Develop and maintain financial policies and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience in property management/services or construction preferred
- Proven ability to work across multiple business entities
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
- Working toward CPA designation preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Experience managing and leading accounting teams
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online )
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
