About the role
Vivo Cura Healthcare is a multidisciplinary MSK pain management clinic focused on treating patients with muscle and joint pain. Our philosophy is that every member of the Vivo Cura team has a unique and important role to play as we try to accomplish our mission: to empower people in pain so they can get back to living. We are looking for Medical Receptionist with experience lead our reception team. The Medical Reception - Lead will be responsible for overseeing various patient-facing responsibilities and helping coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide operational and administrative support to a small team of medical office assistants/medical receptionists
- Warmly greet and register patients upon arrival
- Deliver impeccable customer service to patients, clinic staff and referring physicians
- Answer phone calls and interact with patients as their first and ongoing point of contact
- Schedule appointments
- Liaise with other care providers regarding referred patients
- Update electronic medical record system with appropriate information as needed
- Ensure patient records and files are accurate and current
- Maintain and respect patient confidentiality at all times
- Issue patient invoices/receipts
- Review reports and ensure reports are completed/delivered in a timely fashion
- Generate invoices and collect payment
- Adhere to Vivo Cura Health policies, procedures and protocols
- Various other clerical administrative duties as required

Education and Experience
- Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program, and/or
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Office experience preferred
- Software literacy: experience utilizing EMR and other healthcare related software, preference given to those with experience using Accuro
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
