We are looking for a Manager to join our dynamic Downtown Montreal team.
You will lead KPMG's assurance teams and ensure the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied to our clients. Join a winning team!
What you will do
- Oversee and manage various client assurance and tax engagements (Reviews & Compilations).
- Manage engagements from planning to completion of statements and other deliverables.
- Participate in implementing the group's business plan.
- Coach, train and mentor assurance staff.
- Work with Partners and various members of the Assurance practice to help them meet their goals and deliverables.
- Apply KPMG's assurance and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Canadian CPA designation.
- 5+ years of experience working in an accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
- Previous experience with Reviews and Compilation Engagements
- Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the business and develop strong relationships
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
- Team player with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and strong leadership qualities.
- Strong mentoring and performance management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
