About the role
InVision Eyecare is a professional, established optometry clinic. We are looking to fill a position for a full-time/part-time optometric assistant. We are looking for an individual who is positive, outgoing, reliable and enjoys working in a positive team environment. Ideally we are looking for a candidate with experience in the optometric field, and is familiar with dispensing glasses and contact lenses.
Job Description
- Greeting and assisting patients
- Providing great customer service
- Reception duties that include, but not limited to answering phones/emails, processing insurance and taking payments, scheduling appointments, basic administrative duties.
- Providing patients with advice on frame selection and lens ordering.
- Processing orders for glasses ensuring accurate measurements and lens specifications.
- Providing frame adjustments and repairs.
- Preliminary testing before the patient sees the Optometrist.
- Equipment sanitization and minor office cleaning
- Comfortable working in a busy fast paced environment
- Ordering and dispensing contact lenses

- Monday - Saturday
- 32-40 hours/week
- Some weekends required
Qualifications
- Customer Service experience
- Experience in the optometric/optical industry preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong sales skills
