Job Description POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY: To assist the Richmond Community Church & Family Services to provide families and individuals in need with community services Assist in planning and coordinating Community and Family Services programs for the summer/fall. Asset with fundraising efforts for the family and community services programs.
Help serving meals (dinner) and cleaning the food truck. Provide administrative support at the Community & Family Services and help with the general operations of Richmond Community Church.
Accountabilities
- Assist with record keeping on Link2Feed as needed
- Communicate with clients from different socio-economic, cultural, ethnic backgrounds.
- Create and maintain a list of reports required for health and safety compliance purposes.
- Support external reporting requests as needed
CRITICAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT Governance Boards and Councils: None
Internal: Steve Yau, Corps Officer, Ministry Unit's staff members, volunteers, clients.
External: general public, donors.
Managerial/Technical Leadership Responsibility Reports directly to: Corps Officer
No direct reports.
Financial And Materials Management
- Minor material responsibility (clients' files)
- Uses or maintains organization assets in accordance with established guidelines.
Working Conditions
- Summer job.
- Richmond Community Church/EDS Food Truck.
- No travel required outside of Richmond.
The above responsibilities must be discharged in accordance with The Salvation Army's Mission Statement, in a professional manner, exemplifying Christian standards of conduct.
Education And Experience Qualifications Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Completion of high school diploma.
- Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
- Up to three months of related experience.
Skills And Capabilities (examples Provided Below)
- Ability to keep confidentiality at all times.
- First Aid/CPR, Food Safe, Driver's License are an asset.
- Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality with professional ethics and a balanced sense of fairness and flexibility.
- Able to work cooperatively in a team setting with minimal supervision.
- Ability and willingness to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion (i.e., The Salvation Army Abuse Registry) and provide an original copy of a Background Check screening.
Compensation The target hiring range for this position is $17.85 to $19.69 with a maximum of $23.63.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
